The Lake

The lake
A quick sketch to try out a bunch of new ideas that I had. Very simple, but I’m happy with how it turned out in the end.
Living far away from everything, I have a lot of spare time on the trains back and forth. Time that I have found excellent for keeping the website updated.

The Island

The IslandDrawn under an apple tree, when I lived at my sisters place. When I draw these strange cities, I always start making up the social structure of society in them. I wouldn’t want to live in this place.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I’m just getting started at my new workplace, and I’ve had work up to my neck the past week. I’ll get better at the updating, I swear.

Crawler

CrawlerI’m currently moving into my new home, and my new studio, so for today there will only be a quick little sketch. One of the many ways I pass the time on the commuter trains.
I imagined it as a craft designed to move around underneath some giant structure, hanging from wires. Or something like that.

The River

The river
This is the first piece I’ve done in a while that feels finished. A little cluttered maybe, but I like it that way. As most of my bigger pieces, it started out as just a quick little sketch while I was cooking my dinner, and from there I just kept going and going… I should really take up sleeping again.

Waterfall

Waterfall

How ’bout a completely physical piece for a change.
For once I took the time to sit down and make an entirely oldschool acrylic piece. A rare event in these speedy, digital days. What you see is straight from the scanner, no adjustments whatsoever.

Rangers

Rangers
I was really happy with this little critter, and I still am.

The Ship

Ok, so this will be the first test post of an image. Everything is still in a quite experimental stage, so bear with me, I’m still figuring this out.

Ooops!

Ah, will you look at that. That aint bad. Still gotta figure out a smooth way to get the loading time down, but that will work for now.

Hello world!

Hello world, long time no see. As a few of you have noticed, and not hesitated to nag me about, the site has had some downtime. The reason I decided to take it off the web was because the structure and overall look of the site was old, outdated, pretentious and difficult to manage. It was very troublesome to update which is why, prior to it’s complete shutdown, it had not updated at all for over a year. And so, I thought it better to take it off the web completely, rather than having it laying around like some old ruin from past times.

But hopefully, all that’s about to change! I have put together this basic skeleton for a new site, which, if filled with some decent content, I think could work really well, and maybe be rewarding to for me to run, instead of being a headache and a bad conscience.

So, this is how things are gonna work:

Over at the right sidebar are links to the most important areas of the site. In the gallery section, I will try to keep posting new images and artwork as often as I can. There will be some kind of nice system with sub-galleries or something like that, haven’t quite decided yet. Every time a new image is posted, I will also post it here at the blog on the front page. There will be a little info for those who are interested, and some kind of clever description.

As you can see, there is not all that much content, none at all in fact, at the moment. But there will be soon, you have my word for that.

I am a web novice, and know diddely about web design. If there is any feature you miss, anything that you think could be better, or if you just think that I’m slow on the updates, please let me know.

Yours truly, Anteater.
